Aix-En-Provence, a sports city

Within the framework of the cooperation protocol between the municipality of baalbeck and the city hall of Aix-En-Provence, a Lebanese delegation, LED by the president of the municipality, general hussein lakis, visited a five-day work visit to Aix-En-Provence.

The first stage of the visit consisted of a two-day training, focusing on sports policy and led by an expert on the subject, gérard baslé and by Olivier Penin Director of sports and his team. Many equipment visits have been planned and technical training on the maintenance of synthetic land has been organized. As a result of the training, the Lebanese delegation realized the extreme importance of the city of aix to sports and youth. It is a sports city by excellence, and sport is valued on a large scale thanks to the efforts made in this direction by the city hall of aix, which does not skimp on the means or the staff to establish sport as a capital activity. In Aix, there are 300 non-profit associations, in other words sports clubs, each managed by a president and volunteer administrators. All inhabitants are invited to access it in return for variable membership fees according to sports disciplines. In addition, all revenue is collected by the association and remains for the maintenance of the association, and does not return to the city hall, which finances all work on the equipment necessary for the activities of these associations. At the heart of each association, Sports educators recruited by the association must be graduates and receive adequate training, as required by the French Ministry of youth and sports. In Many associations, a special effort is devoted to children so that they can access and discover sports practices from an early age. Beyond the associations there is also in aix, the Sports Directorate (100 agents) distributed between equipment, field animation and administration. This one occupies the sports house and is responsible for informing the public and facilitating the link with clubs. Some rooms in the sports house can be made available free of charge to clubs for their internal meetings.

In view of this real sports policy developed by the city hall of Aix-En-Provence, the Lebanese delegation has realized the role of the municipality in its community. It is not just about keeping the streets clean or taking care of the city's reforestation. Its mission of general interest to the service of the public (young people, seniors...) is mainly aimed at integrating and bonding and thus combating any form of radicalization, marginalization or addiction. It helps to detect national and international talent and show them the world otherwise.

The understanding of the sports policy of Aix-En-Provence confirms the municipality of baalbeck in the stakes of its sports stadium in the city. The partnership project with Aix-En-Provence will allow baalbeck to define the administrative structure of the Sports Sports Stadium and to have comparison elements. All this only encourages the municipality of baalbeck to get closer to the sports clubs of the city. A work that it has already begun to undertake through a questionnaire addressed to these clubs to understand and understand the context of each and their needs. This study allows the municipality of baalbeck to understand the stakes and note that the sport most practiced by the youth of baalbeck is football.
